Schmoo of Hypnophonic Performance is a nationally touring circus burlesque artist. Her unique blend of acrobatics, whimsy and good old fashioned sex appeal has tantalized audiences from Baltimore to Seattle for the last three years. With a background in professional movement theatre and puppeteering, she brings a dynamic and engaging character to the stage. Her acts include contortion, bed of nails, fire eating and breathing, stilt dancing, spoken word, fire fans, poi, staff, swords, rope dart and trapeze. She has also taught swimming and aerobics for 5 years in NE Ohio.

We're coming up on wedding season and for us at Cleveland Exotic Dance that means bachelorette party season!!!

We'll be at Brides World 2012 this Sunday, January 29th from 12:00-4:00pm.  Come to this FREE event and visit with us out at our booth (we'll be the ones with the pole!), check out all the vendors, or watch one of the Catan's bridal fashion shows.  Also, you can register online or at the door to wine 5 free tuxedo rentals for your bridal party!

I'll be there showing you exactly what you will learn during your pole party.  We also have a big anouncement for all bridesmaids that are struggling to plan the bachelorette party.  What's more, there will be a drawing for a FREE bachelorette party at the studio!!!

Wow! What a crazy couple of weeks. Moving the studio was way more involved than I thought it would be. But it's done and we're getting momentum to start classes back up. May 8th is World Belly Dance Day this year! This is the first year I have heard of it, so I will not be able to organize any official gathering. In the future, I would definitely like the studio to participate and dance for charity. The other goal of World Belly Dance Day is educate people about belly dance. It is not meant to be a seduction dance performed by women for men. However, there are quite a few people who portray it that way by costume choice and the way they move. The original intention was not that at all (of course the ladies at Cleveland Exotic Dance feel that if YOU as an empowered woman want to dance for your partner then you should do it any way you want.) World Belly Dance Day is all about belly dance awareness through "event(s) that would serve as a reminder that belly dance is an ART form, a cultural event, a sport, and a social and family entertainment."
